SeaWorld and Legoland

We picked up the gang at the San Diego Airport on Christmas Day and then met up with Aunt Sandy and her family for dinner.  For some reason NEITHER Onions nor I have photos.  Weird.  The day after Christmas was a visit to SeaWorld!

Thinking that it would be crowded.....we were wrong.  Apparently, the day after Christmas is the day to go!

It was GREAT for kids like O, but actually fun for us adults too!

Dolphins!

We rented a wheelchair for Mom.....but O discovered the joys of being pushed around!

We took O on his first rides.  We started with the easy ones.

We then leveled up!

The highlight for O (and Onions and I) was the water ride.  At first O wasn't tall enough and was turned away at the entrance of the ride.  However, we stuffed some pads into his boots and then went in the accessible entrance and got on the ride!

There we are!

Here we GOOOOO!!!  And you'll see that it's just the three of us.  The park was so empty that we could get off the ride and get right back on.  We rode the ride three or four times in 15 minutes.

Alas, this crazy looking roller coaster wasn't open (can't remember why) but Onions and I did enjoy one called the Praying Mantis which O didn't go on (I think he was tired)

Former Lville colleague Jim J. joined us for the afternoon.  Great to see him!  He grew up in San Diego and has moved back here.

We dined with the Orcas!  Poolside buffet dining!

A souvenir!  SeaWorld was surprisingly fun for all.

The next day at the hotel buffet before we split up

Onions, O and Marlene to Legoland.  (These photos are courtesy of Onions)  Myself and Mom drove back down to San Diego to have lunch with Aunt Sandy and her family.  Again, for some reasons I didn't take photos.

I'm seeing Legoland through O's eyes!

Apparently, after the awesome and fun rides at SeaWorld, the Legoland rides didn't compare.
